Today, let me talk to you from the depths of my professional passion. After more than a decade in the video game industry, it’s finally time to pour everything into a project that has been nesting in my mind for a long time but has never materialized for multiple reasons. I’m talking about one of the greatest upcoming fighting games of all time, the fighting game that I’m most passionate about developing and you’ll love: “WarRoar: Genesis.”
Let me start this article differently than usual… Normally, I save announcements for the end of my articles, but this time it’s crucial to begin with it. The game is already in its initial crowdfunding campaign, so I invite and ask you to join as a backer by donating whatever you can and joining the Discord community. There are great rewards. Here are the three important links:
– Project website for the fighting game “WarRoar: Genesis”: WarRoar
– Initial crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe: GoFundMe Campaign
– Discord Community: Discord
Now, let’s talk about the fighting game and what it involves… It won’t be a small game; in fact, it won’t be just one game because it’s three complete fighting games within one big title. Here are the game modes:
- 3D Mode: A realistic 3D fighting game, similar to Street Fighter IV to VI, or Tekken 6 to 8.
- 2D Mode: A classic 2D fighting game in 16-bit style, similar to Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 1 to 3, or Killer Instinct.
- Beat ’em Up Mode: An 8-bit style street fighting game where you defeat opponents solo or cooperatively, in the vein of Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, Final Fight, or TMNT.
But what’s the best part? Simple, as a huge fan of fighting games and a retro gamer, all three “game modes” will have the essence and soul of classic fighting games, in an improved mix that gives it a unique character and an undeniable essence for any player who loves a good fighting game as much as I do. Even the game characters, many of them, will have a slight resemblance to the most classic characters in fighting games, just touches to attract the nostalgic feel for those of us who are past our 30s or 40s (I’m 41 years old).
And if the fighting game is already great by including three complete “game modes” and a broad roster of characters with a nostalgic factor, you should also note that it will have an incredible central story that motivates all the fighters in the game to participate in the brawl, each with their own story and motivations that naturally intersect in an engaging way. You can find the summary of the story on the game’s website.
For those knowledgeable in video game development, we will use Unreal Engine 5 as the graphics engine for developing the fighting game, ensuring excellent quality in programming and integrating all elements for solid compilations on each platform. The game will be launched for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (Steam).
We will first work on the 2D fighting game, then the 3D fighting game, and finally the Beat ’em Up. As we approach each of the more advanced versions, passing the Vertical Slice, we will begin developing the next “game mode.”
In conclusion, one of the most important guarantees I can give you that this fighting game will be released and that we will deliver what is promised, is my own reputation, experience, and knowledge within the video game industry. That’s why I’ve created the game’s page within my own professional website, where you can find all the details about who I am, what I’ve worked on, my recommendations, media interviews, and links to my networks.
“WarRoar: Genesis” has everything to be that great fighting game project that all genre lovers have been waiting for, and for casual or younger players, it will also be highly entertaining and enjoyable. With your support, whether by contributing as a donor to the initial crowdfunding campaign, sharing the campaign on social networks, joining the Discord community, or inviting your friends, I’m confident we will bring this project to success. Help me create this super entertaining title packed with good nostalgia, with a fresh and innovative air.
